We are currently looking for EXPERIENCED motor claims handlers.
The role will involve dealing with motor insurance claims ensuring the highest level of customer service whilst paying due attention to client requirements and controlling claims spend. You will be required to assess, establish liability, repudiate or negotiate the claim accordingly whilst minimising the claims spend where possible and seeking a recovery of the outlay where applicable. The company is based in Cardiff city centre. The hourly rate is dependent on experience.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide support and advice to policyholders specifically relating to their claim.
- Assist in identifying process inefficiencies including supplier issues and system issues ensuring these are raised with the appropriate Manager.
- Control the cost of the claim to ensure the benefits of the policy are delivered to the insured without additional expenditure for the client.
- Deliver empathetic customer service and be technically competent in motor insurance principles to ensure compliance with standards and protocol.- Ensure all post and diaries are actioned in accordance within client SLA’s.
- To identify claims which have a potential recovery.- To ensure that the optimum amount of actual recoveries received is obtained from the third party insurer.
- Continually strive to improve your performance against your own personal & team objectives, including excellent performance in audits.
- Refer all complaints in accordance with recognised team & FSA guidelines.
- Ensure good housekeeping of each file and that all guidance forms / checklists specifically required are on the file and completed at the appropriate time.
