Sandringham Park is the commercial division of Gower College Swansea offering professional training courses to the Health and Social Care Sector.

The Role
We are seeking to appoint a professional Health and Social Care Trainer to join our expanding and highly successful Health Care team.  This role requires a proactive individual with drive, ambition and a passion for people development along with a "can do" attitude and a desire to deliver and pass on knowledge within the Health & Social Care sector.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate we are seeking is an experienced trainer with excellent knowledge of employers training needs. You will have a broad understanding of the sector with experience of assessing and training health care professionals.

Based at the Colleges Sandringham Park site in Llansamlet you will be responsible for delivering cost recovery Health & Social care courses to a mixed range of learners to include:

  • Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Level 5 QCF Management to the Care Sector
  • First Aid at Work

Liaising with external employers and internal customers you will also assess candidates ensuring that reviews and portfolios are up to date and to the required standards.  You will be responsive to employer’s requirements by designing bespoke materials where specific additional training courses are required.

You will possess a level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care and preferably hold a registered nurse qualification.  You will also ideally possess a Teaching qualification and A1 Award or be willing to work towards within agreed timescales.

Essential for this role are good communication and IT skills, well developed written and oral skills, excellent organisational skills along with a flexible and reliable approach to work.  You will be a self motivator with an outgoing personality and ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused trainer to contribute to the expansion and growth of the cost recovery Health and Social Care portfolio.
