The Person
This role would suit someone who has reached a ceiling in a senior account management role and is looking for team management responsibilities and challenges. You’ll have people out in the USA, Taiwan and Bristol, so need to be able to manage a remote team across a wide area, using the tools and support given by the leadership team.

You’ll be a big personality and a strong character; our sales team is straight-talking, they work hard and have a strategic drive for sales. You’ll be an advocate of relationship selling but understand that numbers do rule, and you’ll be prepared to pitch in, and manage the team but not be separate from them.

You’ll also consider professional salesmanship to be very important; you’ll be interested in the psychology of selling and know the tools and theories like Spin, and will genuinely get a kick out of sales with a passion for product delivery.

This is not a ‘hire and fire’ environment – we put a huge investment into our people, both time and money, so we want people who want to develop the business and themselves.

The Role
This is a senior role with 3 direct reports. The Sales Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Take personal responsibility for generating revenue from a defined portfolio of accounts or business unit, while also seeking new contract opportunities for premier products in order to exceed pre-set targets
  • Day to day responsibility for the Enzymes Divisional Sales team performance  
  • Manage a remote international sales team through the establishment of individual goals and targets and monitor & motivate team to succeed in reaching those goals
  • Manage the Revenue pipeline to ensure that monthly and annual targets are met
  • Maintain and develop new business pipeline    
  • Account planning and business development, sales planning, spreadsheet analysis and forecasting
  • Visiting customers overseas

This role is based in Cardiff, however up travel time will be required, up to one week in five.
