The Company
BBI Healthcare employs 35 people and specialises in the UK sales and distribution of consumer health products, both prescription and over the counter. The business has an extensive MHRA licensed distribution facility in South Wales (ISO accredited), a dedicated sales teams in independent retail and health professional channels, and supplies novel fast acting glucose products (GlucoGel, GlucoTabs, GlucoJuice), leading women's health brands (Balance Activ) and a range of nutritional supplements to domestic and international markets. We have aggressive growth plans for 2012.
The Person
This is a new role, so an exciting opportunity for someone to take on the digital and e-commerce requirements for BBI and develop them from scratch. You may have worked in a project role before and be looking for a step up, and will be enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and able to take a strategic view of bringing together disparate web-based activity to best meet business requirements.
You will be highly knowledgeable in web technologies and strategies, interested in technical architecture and familiar with database principles, XML, etc. Also with an understanding of technical and business requirements, tools, people and processes necessary to create successful online communications. You will be willing to travel between sites when required, with a high competency of written English
The Role
This is a senior role with no direct reports. The Web Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Implement Digital Communications strategy aligned with Ecommerce goals and initiatives
- Consult on relevant tools to ensure technical platform meets business requirements
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of online communications, aligned with other marketing and communications offering
- Incorporate and implement SEO friendly techniques
- Influence and advocate Ecommerce goals throughout the business
- Report and monitor digital success metrics
- Manage relationships with 3rd party suppliers, maintaining standards for outsourced work.
- Work to best practice regarding management of web development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure objectives are clear and deadlines are met
- Ensure projects deliver compliance with good practice in accessibility and usability

This role is based in Cardiff, however travel time will be required
