Main Responsibilities

With our drive to constantly improve our software, we require innovative web developers to develop live web based applications. We require people who want to be part of an exciting team and company, who also enjoy a challenge. The main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain the company websites, web service solutions, management tools and batch processing services.
  • Update and maintain the Tracesmart databases, including importation of data from text files or other databases and merging the data with the existing databases.
  • Produce documentation for completed products, both end user guides and technical documentation.
  • Monitor performance and optimisation of our various solutions to enhance performance. Identify and resolve bugs.
  • To carry out any general day-to-day duties as and when required to ensure the smooth operation of the Company.

    • Linux
    • PHP 5
    • HTML
    • CSS/Javascript
    • MySQL

    Desirable Skills

    • Interested in strengthening and developing web based technical skills
    • Awareness/Experience using development frameworks including Zend Framework
    • Good communication skills
    • Awareness/Experience of Scrum/Agile project management methodologies.

    Benefits

    • Salary is £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
    • 22 days paid annual leave plus an additional day for each year’s service capped to a maximum of 28 days plus  8 bank holidays

    Hours of Work
    Hours: 40 per week Mon-Fri  flexible daily between 8.00am - 6.00pm
    Lunch & breaks: 30 minutes flexible
